The inspiration for Pure Pooch started with our dog, Sophie. Sophie is our twelve year old Maltese-Lhaso Aspa mix and we’ve been together since she was six weeks old. Over the years we’ve tried a lot of different shampoos and because Sophie has pink skin it was a challenge to find one that was gentle, effective, and natural. Around the same time her favorite brand was discontinued we approached a company about developing our own line.
During our first year we focused solely on creating a formula that uses natural ingredients and developed our three foundational lines: Bright & Clean, Really Clean, and Calm & Gentle. Duane Bonlie, one of the companies partners, has over 29 years experience in the spa and salon industry and helped us create a truly outstanding product.
